Being awarded both in Brazil and abroad, composer Rodolfo Valente had his instrumental and electroacoustic works performed in several countries in America and Europe, in events like Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão (BR), Bienal de Música Eletroacústica de São Paulo (BR), FILE/Hipersônica (BR), Gaudeamus Muziekweek (NL), Encuentro de Arte Sonoro Tsonami (AR/CL), Calgary New Music Festival (CA), Vale of Glamorgan Festival (País de Gales), The Waverly Project (EUA), among others. His collaborations with other artists include important groupings such as Arditti String Quartet, Alter Ego Ensemble, Camerata Aberta, Epifania Piano Trio, Nieuw Ensemble, as well as collectives like Ibrasotope, NME, BijaRi, Teatro de Narradores e Núcleo EntreTanto (dance). Has a Bachelor and Master Degree in the UNESP, having studied with Flo Menezes, with his dissertation published by Cultura Acadêmica. In the moment, Valente is a PhD candidate in the USP, under tuition of Sílvio Ferraz.
In 2009, Valente was a winner of the Brazilian Composers' Competition set by the Nieuw Ensemble (Amsterdam), having been awarded the Camargo Guarnieri Composition Prize during the 40º Festival Internacional de inverno de Campos do Jordão. In 2016, his artistic residency in Portugal takes place in the Festival DME/Conservatório de Música de Seia with the support of Ibermúsicas.
